“Why can’t I understand TV shows even after years of studying English?”

“Why do I know every word, but still don’t understand the meaning of the whole sentence?”

“Why does my English always sound like a translation, not something natural?”

If you’ve ever asked yourself these questions, you’re not alone. English Phrasal Verbs can be your solution.

Like in most cultures, fluent English speakers often use informal vocabulary when speaking English in normal conversations.  Learning the common informal English phrasal verbs makes it easier; however, many students do not realize this until they get to a high level. As a result, Colloquial English phrases are extremely common in native English conversations and are necessary for advanced English.

English Phrasal verbs are the most important collocation because they are commonly used in everyday English speaking. For example, English phrasal verbs include a verb and an adverb or a preposition. If these phrases are not recognized, it can be a problem because English phrasal verbs are by fluent English speakers. Sometimes, translation devices are not correct when translating English phrasal verbs.

A big part of the problem is often English phrasal verbs and idioms.  However,  these are the common expressions that fluent speakers use without even thinking.

These expressions don’t always follow logic, because you can’t just guess their meaning by looking at the individual words. But once you understand them, everything starts to make more sense.

Want to sound more like a native English speaker? Phrasal Verb Bootcamp helps you get comfortable with the common expressions that native speakers actually use. You’ll find clear explanations, fun activities, and useful tools to learn phrasal verbs and idioms.
